Description:
Grandma with machine-gun: Apocalypsis is exactly as wild as the title suggests — and somehow, it works beautifully. You play as a gun-toting granny trying to get home to bake pies, except the streets are swarming with zombies driving cars, riding motorcycles, and wielding rocket launchers. The premise is absurd, and the game fully commits to the bit.
Combat unfolds in fixed-screen shooting galleries where waves of undead come at you from all directions. What elevates this beyond a simple shooter is the loadout system. Before each mission, you visit the Weapons section to equip your four weapon slots from a growing arsenal — revolver, machine gun, minigun, bazooka, and more. You can mix and match to suit your playstyle: a close-range shotgun for crowd control paired with a sniper for distant threats. Swapping between weapons mid-combat with number keys keeps the action flowing.
There are two modes. The main campaign has fixed enemy counts per level — clear them and earn currency for new guns. Survival mode is where the real test lives: endless waves with enemies that grow stronger and more numerous over time. The zombie designs are cartoonishly grotesque, the explosions are satisfyingly crunchy, and the ragdoll physics make every kill feel impactful.
The controls handle well on both desktop and mobile, though weapon swapping is notably easier with a keyboard. The difficulty ramps up steeply in later campaign levels, making the weapon upgrade path essential rather than optional.
Perfect for: Action fans, zombie shooter enthusiasts, anyone who loves absurd premises.
